Suitable for beginners and those who wish to improve on their skills. Saturday Sessions or Mid Week Evening Sessions available.

The classes have been very popular running at our Kingskerswell venue on a regular basis for over 10 years.

 

 

What’s on offer?
 Based in Newton Abbot, Love to be green offers Seasonal Saturday Classes on how to create BEAUTIFUL FLORAL DESIGNS using up to date techniques.

The informal, chatty yet informative classes are taught by a CITY & GUILDS qualified and experienced Tutor and Florist.

The fun and relaxing sessions include step by step tutor instructions on choosing flowers, foliage and floristry sundries and  how you can use these materials to create a finished floral piece, for you to take home.



SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 13th 2014

Time:10am-2-30pm Kingskerswell, Newton Abbot

                                        AFTERNOON TEA WITH VICTORIAN FLORA

(In keeping with Love to be Green's 'Green Ethos')


Firstly, an intriguing introduction to the Victorian language of  flowers and the sentiments which the flowers conveyed.

Morning practical session making a Victorian Posy -all materials supplied and included in session fee. 


After Lunch/Tea -Relax and watch a Tutor demonstration of a typical Victorian Floral Table piece Design.

Surrounded by buntings, vintage china and cut glass vases displaying an array of garden flowers, tea/ coffee and 2 Victorian Style cup cakes will be available -free of charge. 

The cup cakes will be specially designed and made for the workshop by a very skilled Cake Maker based in Newton Abbot -Emma at 'Teddy's Cakes'

             Please bring with you your tool box including scissors/secateurs.

You will be asked at the beginning of the session to kindly sign a workshop injury disclaimer simple statement.


             PLEASE NOTE ---Payments MUST be made prior to the workshop date.

  Please don’t forget to bring a packed lunch and a camera!
